Driveway to the Stars

Another clear night, so the stars beckoned once more. This cabbage tree is about halfway down the steepest part of our driveway, and with the Southern Celestial Pole right behind it, I thought it would be a great starting point for a star trail.

This image is made up of 320 30" exposures for the star trail, and one for the foreground. That's a lot of photoshop layers :-)

I'm hoping to improve on my technique a little when it comes to the foreground lighting, but at least it gives an idea of the concept!
