You da Bostadh

The Hebrides are certainly putting on their Sunday best. Blue skies dotted with clouds, gorgeous colours in the sea, and…. a constant wind that pictures simply cannot reproduce. The walk from Valasay to Bostadh, one we’ve done a couple of times before, was accompanied along its entire length by the driving wind, and had us taking shelter a couple of times as heavy rain showers passed over. Still, it’s got a marvellously varied outlook, and the beach at Bostadh is a wonderful end and turning point. Knackering though.


Not much time for anything else in the day (save a brief wander around the Carnish headland), and as we sit in the warmth of the cottage the wind continues to build…
