Spring Wood Blubells and wild flowers.
As it was sunny and Arthur had woken us up early, we visited Spring Wood to enjoy a stroll through the beautiful Bluebells. The woodland is caringly tended by a Friends group, some of whom were hard at the task while we were there. The paths are very well maintained, and there was no sign of any litter. Many dog walkers were there and several keen photographers with fancy zoom lens.
The smell of wild garlic mixes with the delicate fragrance of the Bluebells, but if you climb upwards, there are patches where there are only Bluebells and the fragrance is magnificent there, as they spread beneath the tall ancient Beech trees. It is a fab place to de stress. I literally felt completely at peace as I listened to the song of blackbirds and robins.
