Old Storehouse -hens!

Arrived at the cottage near Brecon-an old mill like structure which is rather untidy but full of character. The new additions from last year were 13 new hens of various types which we were charged with feeding and putting to bed each night as well as collecting the eggs. Robert turned out to be the expert in all of the above.

In addition to the hens we also had to feed a family of swans who came up from the canal. The daddy swan knocked on the conservatory window each evening and morning and hissed until he got his fill of bread. His wife and 4 teenage cygnets then got the left overs as well as anything else they could find in the garden!
