First Tulip

Today was a brilliant day.  One of those days when a load of little jobs were done.  Nothing big or grand, just little and necessary.

I also found out that in voting yesterday, I maintained my record of never voting for someone who gets elected.  There is no principle behind this, just the constituencies I've stayed in where more people disagree with my views than agree with them.  But that's democracy.

I've been following this rockery tulip for the past week.  It's outer leaves are a wonderful green with dark purple streaks.  Now it is beginning to open in a gorgeous orange.  A real punky tulip.  I wish I could remember its name; I must write these things down.
