Taxi Light Shines So Bright

My Dear Fellow,

I have always loved the song "Waterloo Sunset" and that's probably my favourite line. I don't know why. It feels so evocative of so many prior evenings, I suppose.

I wanted to take a picture tonight that would capture all of the taxi rides I've ever taken. That sense of relinquishing responsibility to the driver, and just watching the lights flash by. It didn't work the way I hoped it would, but that's partly because I'm a bit squiffy.

Tonight, I had a few wines with Mad Dog while we watched "Captain America: Civil War". We both enjoyed the movie but there's always going to be a part of me that feels incomplete on such nights. 

It is like going to see a reformed Echo and the Bunnymen, but with no Echo and a missing Bunnyman.

Oh well. Waterloo Sunset's fine.
