Almost at the end...

The polls are now closed and I will be leaving for the election count in Lochgilphead in about an hour . 

Earlier I got home to have something to eat and to change.  

I have spent the day with my friend  Dr Jamie Hill who has  driven me around polling stations on every election day since the first Scottish Parliament one in May 1999.   

Thanks - and we had a great time today too.   Lots of enthusiasm from voters and party workers alike but  no sign of any activist from any other party at any of the polling stations I visited save the Tory agent at Ardrishaig.  And virtually no posters from anyone else too.
