Elk

Spent the day driving along the north California coast through the giant Coastal Redwoods that live up to their name. Road signs warn drivers of 'Elk'. We managed to find a herd of the critters. Sizeable citizens. No sign of the males with antlers but I think they lose them and regrow them for the rut in the autumn.
