Cap Lopez
This morning, around coffeetime, we spotted a fishing vessel on the horizon. It appeared to be the Cap Lopez. They have high lookout posts in the mast and a big boat to work on the nets. You see them also on the Pacific Ocean, they even carry small helicopters sometimes to spot the big fish from the air. Most of these style built vessels are Korean with an African/Korean crew. Very hard to speak English with, but the international " change for change - Marlboro" was understood. Changed heading towards him and saw that his launch was in the water. These vessels fish at the middle of the ocean for Tuna and therefore a lot of small Tuna and even Marlins are caught. I asked for some fish for five cartons of Marlboro but ended with more than 200 kilo of fresh Tuna and a Marlin of 60 kg. These guys were also very interested in coveralls, no problem, we had two bags full of old subcontractor ones left over from the drydock period. So everybody was very satisfied!
