Vogrie

Took the day off to help with the Mid/East Lothian schools orienteering event at Vogrie Country Park. It was pleasing that most of the 900+ kids had tried orienteering before, and it also meant that we didn't have to explain everything to all of them. That said, some still made an awful mess of pretty easy courses. Most seemed to have had a good day out of school at least, and maybe we've inspired a few to give the sport another try.

These chairs make a great "special item" control for junior courses, but weren't used today. Again, a very pleasant way to spend the day.
