The Nato Jetty
12.9C with much more cloud than recently. Bright spells. Wind South or SSE to 26 mph with gusts to 38 mph.
Rain forecast for later.
After lunch Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk. Enya on the Nano (Dark Sky Island and The Celts).
We went across the road and along to the esplanade then walked round past the marina and the two quays of the harbour. More fishing boats at the quays today. Rough out at sea perhaps.
We carried on round the shore of Campbeltown Loch, along the path in the park, then carried on out Kilkerran Road. We went round to Glenramskill, past the goldsmith's studio and went almost as far as the Nato jetty. We turned uphill on the old road, which is just a farm track now, to have a look at the start of a walk I was reading about onilne. We walked up the hill as far as the turn off for Low Glenramskill to get an idea of where the route leaves the track and what direction it takes up the hill. I'll explore further on a better day, and will start from the car park where the causeway goes over to Davaar island. Too far for Maeve if starting from home in the town. These days she slows down if we walk too far and doesn't speed up again until she knows we are going home.
We came back along the lochside to town and made our way home.
