Vet visit
Archie's new harness for the car arrived today (ordered yesterday!) and he tried it on. Hated it. We went for a walk wearing it, and he kept stopping. Or else he walked sideways. He'll have to get used to it.
We visited the vet this afternoon. He loves going in there, though once he's in, he really would rather be out. Good news and not so good news. He's a healthy wee dog... Just has a slight heart murmur!!! Nothing to worry about yet, apparently - she will check it again in three months. But we won't be telling him he's just lazy any more when he gives up running around with other dogs.
I eventually found a blind shop in Morningside - HINT: Do NOT rely on Google Maps. They had entirely the wrong address in completely the wrong place! Why??
I needed a new fitting for the one I broke in the back bedroom while trying to fix it. Impossible. Nobody sells the parts. And anyway, the fittings change all the time. Nothing for it but to just get a new blind.
While we were chatting and measuring up, I leaned on a shelf, and it collapsed. What a lot of mirth that caused. The lady assistant told me not to worry - she'd also knocked it down during one of her labyrinthitis (dizzy spells) turns. I was able to commiserate, as I've had that. We forgot about the task in hand - measuring blinds - to enthusiastically compare symptoms, while the chap, trying to complete the deal, declared that he thought he was in a Monty Python sketch. Despite my wrecking the shop, he is coming soon to fit two blinds, a job we've been meaning to do for two years.
After Archie had a run up the Hill (no puffing) we popped down to visit Rufus and his mum for a G&T and delicious nibbles. The dogs got delicious nibbles too. See extra for Rufus with his 'cigar' chew. He just nibbles the chicken off it, and Archie hangs around and then sneaks in and pinches the rest, trying to tiptoe past a snoozing, indeed, snoring Rufus. Very amusing, because Rufus couldn't care less.
