A Day at da Beach

Woke up to a wind morning and pouring with rain, thought it was going to be a washout but it cleared before lunch and been a lovely sunny afternoon. 

It was a lazy Sunday morning, because of the rain but finally got out with Sammy when the skies cleared.  Popped into Lerwick and the town was mobbed with tourists up for the Folk Festival and also a massive cruise liner in too.  Me, Brian, Sammy, Julie and mam all headed down to Bigton for the Sunday Teas, briefly saw bro Jonny and chatted with various folk.  A fine walk and then back home to a lazy evening. 

After the Sunday Teas, we headed down to the beach for a walk and try and burn off those cakes.  St Ninians is always a lovely beach to walk along and Sammy loves it.  Here's Brian, Julie and Sammy heading back to the car after we were up on the isle.
