Today's the day ............................ to go out for lunch

It's always nice to be invited out for lunch - but when you know that the person inviting you is a really good cook, that's an added bonus.

It was the first time we had visited Jane and Rob in their lovely home - so there was a lot to catch up with.  When we were planning to move house last summer, they had offered to look after some of our plants - including three big blueberry bushes - so it was also a chance for us to retrieve them.  We had a tour around their huge garden, glass in hand, and found lots of interesting plants and trees to look at.

Lunch, of course, was delicious - finishing with this spectacular cake.  It had all sorts of unusual goodies in it including pistachio nuts, yoghurt and orange - and was beautifully decorated with pale pink rose petals. 

We had a lovely time.  Thank you Jane and Rob - we must do it again sometime soon ..........................
