A Land Littered with Donkeys and Plastic Bags
A very long day started with rising early for a bus to Tarifa, then a fast ferry to Tangiers. At last, we've reached Morocco (earlier than we started, due to a DST change). After walking to the bus station we found that we were at the wrong one, but hopped on the correct bus nevertheless. At the next stop we were told to get off to get our tickets printed. We did so only to see the bus (and our bags) disappear off down the road. Thankfully it was simply turning round, and we got on our way with the correct tickets. We watched the world go by, and thought that it looked like S. America, probably due to our stereotypes involving mountains, wide straw hats, and donkeys. S gave the title quote, which was very appropriate around settlements. Here's a very dapper fellow, complete with donkey, straw hat, and mountain for good measure. Sadly a tiny bit blurred, but I couldn't resist! We reached Fez after 7 and a half hours, took a taxi, and followed some children to reach a bed at last.
Bye Barbara
