Eleven Years

We had been for a walk with Maeve the Deerhound.
Up by the church, out the country road to Craigmill farm, down the track to the shore road. Back along the cycle path and up the road to the shore. As we arrived back at the house the sun was shining.

We lived there for eleven years.
We had never intended to stay so long.
It is hard to imagine that we did.
