a day with Sarah

Up early and had breakfast on the terrace with the sound of the hens clucking away beside me :)

Dad and I did today's crossie and sat in the sun for a bit. We also blanched the 2 kilos of green beans we'd picked at the garden yesterday.

Paddy left Sarah over to the house around 3 o'clock. We played for a bit, went up to see the chicks and the hens and then headed for the river. Sarah loved it - she swam, jumped off rocks and played about. Lucienne was there with her sister's two wee grandchildren, Carla and Laurie, and they were loving covering themselves in river mud and then diving into the water to wash it all off. Sarah wouldn't let a drop of mud near her! :)

After the river, we walked to the garden and harvested a couple of courgettes, a patisson, another handful or two of green beans and a few peas. Mum's flowers are also looking fantastic, so we picked a few of them for the house too.

Got back, had some tea and chilled out with Sarah watching Disney songs on youtube!

Mum, dad and I then went from the sublime to the ridiculous after Sarah went to bed by watching the second episode of Breaking Bad. You couldn't get much further away from Disney if you tried...
