Up early, made apricot jam, mum took Sarah shopping, dad and I did the Saturday grauniad crossword and chatted for a bit once we'd finished.

Headed along the apricot path with Sarah when she was back and picked another 4 kilos worth of fruit! Also paddled in the river and restrained ourselves from just jumping in.

Home for a barbecue! Dad manned the flames(!) and scared off the chooks whose curiosity was well on the way to doing them some serious damage. Mum did ribs and I got the veg prepared. Gorgeous tea.

We were well entertained after dinner by Sarah who told us stories, sang songs and danced like a crazy loon. So funny.

Two of the 2-month old cocks have started fighting tonight. It's like they've reached maturity at exactly the same time as they were both trying to mount the hens this evening too. All these hormones flying about!!
