Cache In The Attic

We had a guest in the spare room this week. In the morning he reported strange scratching sounds emanating from the attic space behind the headboard.

Having managed to enjoy a free meal from the mousetrap without setting it off a search party was sent in to the loft to find the offenders. A search of many boxes was made before a family of four mice were found in a nest which they had made in one of them. They were duly released into the great wide yonder.

This eclectic mix of items were also discovered; a three stringed violin, a one handed clock and a very scary doll. Another large box of bric a brac will be making its way to the charity shop in the morning. But not before we check things out on the Antiques Roadshow this evening. You never know.....
