Akureyri

Another difficult choice. We went on trip which took us to Godafoss, an impressive waterfall where Icelandic leader, Thorgeir threw his gods into the water after his conversion to Christianity. We had a quick look at the waterfall and then spent most of our time crawling around taking pictures of wild flowers.

Next stop was at Laufas, a traditional farmstead where we could explore the warren of rooms, furnished according to different periods of the farm's lifetime.

Then to the Botanic gardens in Akureyri where we far too short a time.

In the afternoon we explored the town and in particular the church and its beautiful stained glass.

The blip was chosen because I like it - the light, the colour, the shapes. It was taken at Laufas.
