By way of an explanation........

OK, I know this is a little wierd as far as blips are concerned. This is the toilet in the Curly Corridor at Weston Park House. Imagine my bemusement on walking into the toilet to be faced by a wooden bench, the lid on the right being down at the time (must have been a lady that used it previously, obviously!).

I was at Weston Park to take place in a final preparation meeting prior to the V Festival that takes place in the grounds in August.

Working for the local authority, my responsibilities include controlling noise levels (i.e. being a killjoy), as well as other licensing issues. On the weekend of the Festival the population of South Staffordshire pretty much doubles from 100,000 to 200,000 people and we have to make sure all of these people are safe during their stay.

I will surely blip some images at the weekend as well as prior and afterwards. It is an awesome sight to see so much humanity in one place at one time. Today we went through a "table top" exercise with lots of different scenarios being thrown at us to discuss and respond. Perhaps a little chilling when the assistant chief constable gave us a graphic explanation of what would happen should a terrorist threat be established.

I have attended in an official capacity for a number of years and am still to see a full set from any performers; perhaps just as well with my musical taste!
