First of the Summer Wine

The spell of fabulous weather is coming to an end, so we are told.  But Today was warmish and sunny enough for us to sit out (in fleeces and woolly hats, obviously) at the end of a day of garden-wrangling and sip a glass of white and pretend that summer is nearly here.

The extra - first time I've tried to put one in, so I hope it works - is a clump of snake's head fritillaries.  I've tried and tried to grow these, and at last they are establishing, 50+ last year, 70+ this year.  Fingers crossed!
