Juvenile Pine Cone #2
After my previous Blip of this cone on 18th I had left the subject in my office. Today as I went to discard it I noticed that all those soft scales on that smooth surface had opened, resulting in a much more cone-like appearance. I could't help but have another go at capturing it and rather like having the comparison between the two. It is intriguing to realise that this has continued its path to maturity in spite of being removed from its source of nutrients. I have discarded it now so don't be alarmed. There will be no #3!
