Lily

There is much good news for today.  It seems Lily's vertebral lesion may have been something she had at birth.  There may have been an infection that caused the extreme neck stiffness, but she has been given a reprieve from surgery.  They'll keep an eye on things for now.  Notice how she is holding her head upright.  A couple of days ago it was off at an angle because of the pain.  Her dad came home from the hospital as well and we were able to have a family dinner.  

The extras are the pie we baked for him (strawberry rhubarb) and Dad and daughters having a snuggle.  

It has given us all a chance for reflection on the important things in life and letting go of the things that really aren't so important.  It's made us all a little closer and a little more grateful.  Also, a little more time to build Lego castles and hotels.
