Scott and Bailey

Those of you, presumably at this stage only UK-based, may recognise this as the building used as the police headquarters in the latest series of the drama "Scott and Bailey." In fact it is Rochdale Town Hall.

Today's extra is a nearby catering establishment.

I have today fettled my photographs from Dortmund. The main purpose of my recent trip to Germany was to see Borussia Dortmund play in their magnificent stadium - Signal Iduna Park. When full to the 81,000 capacity it has a great atmosphere, especially from the fans on the Wall or Sudtribune. The match finished 3-0 to Dortmund, the first goal being scored by American Christian Pulisic and the other two by Colombian Adrian Ramos.

To us three English football fans, used to the often dispiriting atmosphere of hostility around football stadiums, it was remarkable how the crowd at Dortmund was large and peaceful, and drinking beer, around the stadium from over three hours before kick off. There was a police presence but that didn't get in the way of Dortmund and Hamburg fans enjoying the day together whilst, of course, spending plenty of money on merchandise.

Football fans amongst you may be interested to read that Ilkay Gundogan, rumoured to be about to join Manchester City, and Mats Hummels both played extremely well.
