Splash of colour

Monday started well – the lift at work was actually at ground level and I didn't have to wait 10 minutes for it. Whoop! A fellow lift traveller commented that maybe this was the best moment of the week and it was downhill from here. I hope not, but it just shows how much we despair of the lifts in the office. I know I could walk up the 11 flights of stairs and I do sometimes, but...

It was a lovely day so I headed over to the Southbank roof garden for the first time this year at lunch. The rosemary bloomed purple and I didn't identify this pink plant, but it's very pretty. Most of the flower tubs are bare, awaiting new plants. 

I had a real treat in the evening – dinner with two friends near home. It was a delicious Ottolenghi number. Yum.
