Monsal weir

The raging torrent that is Monsal Weir. 

We've had the best weather so far this year for our photo trip - this time to the Peak District.
It was an early start to catch the sunrise up at Curber Edge, back for breakfast and then up to Monsal Dale. Sadly a tree that looks like it was deliberately felled has been taken downstream and is now sat right across the weir somewhat destroying its symmetry and form. Instead, here is a close up of the water cascading over the edge and forming a boiling cauldron underneath.

Hopefully we shall be blessed with sun again tomorrow, but, a few clouds would be nice.
