Sunday BBQ

Having driven up to the nearby village of Peyia for a wander round this morning , followed by a dip in the pool we strolled down to what has become our favourite taverna, Yialos, for their Sunday lunch BBQ. We were there last night celebrating our 39th Wedding Anniversary.

It was packed with local families and a few Brit ex-pats and tourists.


We'd ordered the lamb and were quickly served with 5 different salads and a dish of bite-sized bits of lamb with beans and potatoes. We were halfway through this when the waiter appeared with a plate of 4 shank sized chunks of lamb, accompanied by a plate of roasted potato wedges!

We thought it rude not to eat it all but were glad of the walk back along the coast path to our villa. We didn't move much for the next couple of hours.

The main blip is Yialos Tavern with the extra of the view from outside it.
