Mixed messages

These 8ft high metal hands by the acclaimed sculptor Rick Kirby, installed recently outside a church in Woodbridge, carry the message that we are Safe in His Hands, but a printed message on a notice board nearby warns children not to sit on them because the design includes pieces of metal with sharp edges which could damage clothing or cause injury . . .

. . . so I waited for an elderly couple sitting on them to get off and move out of sight of my camera before taking this picture, in case it delivered the wrong message. One can't be too careful, you know.
