Chard chopping

Ness getting the chard ready for the chef. A slightly cooler day thank goodness, though somehow Conor has managed to get a little too much sun while enjoying a last day with his friend Enzo until the end of the holidays. There was, of course, some packing (after the washing and ironing) and it turns out we can get a lot more in the hand luggage than I'd feared.

So, tomorrow we're off, and happily it looks like the uk is due a bout of decent weather - hopefully we'll get the credit for bringing it over. The plants in pots have been hauled around to our neighbours for them to water while we're gone, and everything else will just have to take its chances and cross its stems for rain.

Owing to having chosen to fly out of Toulouse airport on the day when the Tour de France starts from... Toulouse airport pretty much, we will be leaving at some uncharacteristically early hour and probably be in the airport for hours. Lots of time for blipping then!
