Flag in the wind
My fist visit on Iona this morning was to Colin MacDonald who chairs the South West Mull & Iona Development Company. His house is in a wonderful position (as most are on that unique little island ) and his flag pole not only displays a whole range of different flags for different occasions (this one was chosen deliberately for today, apparently) but is also - we were told - formerly a flagpole on the old Pole Star, one of the Commissioners of Northern Lights vessels.
I simply cold not resist the image , shot against the sun and with a very brisk northerly wind gusting down the sound.
My two additional photographs are also from today's campaigning - one of Iona and one of Bunessan. It was a stunning day.
