Heron.

MaggieD and I were up and out early to avoid the approaching rain. We had a great stroll along the canal and had several opportunities to photograph this heron as it flew up and down the canal searching for breakfast and trying to avoid those pesky photographers.
The rain did arrive but later than forecast so we waited until this evening to go out again. We took Rona to the university and had a great wander round Airthrey Loch. While there, I spotted the wee moorhen in today's extra shot.
