Lonesome house, iDeal

After yesterday's garden exertions it was all I could do today to plant some sweetcorn and yellow French beans. Seems early to be entrusting the seed to the soil with Arctic blasts on the way. After last night's rain the soil was claggy and wouldn't obey my dibbing finger, each hole filling before I could pop the seed in. I picked a few buckets of chalk and flint for good measure and went to the shops.

This house stands in a cleared area that presumably is awaiting development in 'ever popular'  iDeal where prices are rising faster than barm cakes. The nautical signals have appeared in the last few days. Is it a message.

I bought a few lengths of gravel board from Hutchings, did the weekly shop and hobbled home forgetting the baton I had paid for.

The Kent weather warning brought heavy rain later.
