2016 Wednesday -- Family Time
Just after 10:00 this morning, I took the three pups for a stroll to the beach. We had been told that it was going to be the lowest tide this coastline has experienced in quite awhile and we were also told we won't experience this again for quite some time. We arrived at the top of the bluff, at the lookout, and sure enough, it was very low tide.
So the three pups and I all thought we should walk several blocks south to the public-access stairs and then we walked right onto the sand and to the water. That's when I saw this young family and captured their vacation moment as mom and dad both aimed to photograph their moment into a memory.
I had no drinking water for the pups and we still had to walk the distance back to the house, so we did not walk the shoreline and reluctantly the pups and I headed to the house.
I then fed them their morning meal and we decided then to put them in the car and drive back to the public-access stairs. We did and we walked north about a mile on the sand to the pier. We used the public restroom and then headed back so we would not get cut-off from our destination as the tide slowly crept higher.
After all that walking, the pups are more than mellow this evening.
It's been one fine day. After our long walk on the sand, Mr. Fun & I decided to put the pups in their crates at the house and we went to Duckie's Restaurant at the pier for a late lunch and then we walked through some of the shops and then headed to the library where I borrowed a book and Mr. Fun borrowed some DVDs.
Good night from Cayucos
