Ship Ahoy

Another dismal day drove us to venture east for better walking conditions and hopefully drier weather.

To our surprise although Whitby was rather gloomy and the abbey in mist it was in fact dry for a wander on the beach. Arrived at the harbour just in time to see a seagull pinch an ice cream leaving the poor man with just a cornet. The boat trips were still running and I liked this shot of the old lifeboat with the school children on the beach. The extra caught my eye as the tide ebbed leaving some rainbow bubbles in its wake.

Appointment made to see a specialist about my knee which is refusing to co-operate at the moment. However, it does mean that I can join a blipmeet on Sunday rather than competing in the Northern Orienteering Championships in Mulgrave Woods at Sandsend.
