Attraction!

If you want to attract a female Goldeneye you need to put your head back, stand on your tail and make a purring call! That's what was happening at the lochan as other males kept challenging his right to the female. There were Little Grebe laughing in the reeds, Greylag Geese, Lapwings and Oystercatchers on the bank nesting and warblers and finches in the shrubs.
It was the colour of the birches that impressed me, so went with that for the main.
Had a long walk in through the woods.
