Milford Sound

Today we travelled to the World Heritage Sight- Milford Sound (a huge lake carved by glaciers during the ice age, surrounded by massive sheer rocky cliffs). It was a long journey to get to Fiordland national park, but it was definitely worth the travel. 1.2 million hectares of pristine untouched mountains, valleys and rainforest made the bus seem so minuscule in comparison. We boarded the boat for Milford sound, and as you can guess for one of wettest places on earth- it rained, but the rain formed hundreds of waterfalls, we even went through one called 'fairy falls'. Another highlight was watching the fur seals basking on the rocks and the dolphins jumping out of the water.
