Low Tide and St. Mary's Lighthouse

.... near Whitley Bay this morning. I felt like a tourist: ice cream on the beach, climbing the lighthouse, spotting the seals resting far out on the rocks.

Mum was much more alert this afternoon and even managed to give us a smile and tell us that everyone should be put down at the age of 70! Oh well, only 6 years to go for me then. It feels better having left her smiling as we catch an early flight back to Switzerland tomorrow.
