River Stort

Mrs GOG’s kitchen scales packed up, because the battery failed, so we went into Bishop’s Stortford to get a battery and a few other items of shopping.  Before we got these, however, we decided to go for a walk along the towpath of the River Stort.  We saw one narrow boat being driven up the river and this group of kayakers paddling down river. I had never before seen kayakers on the river and decided to take this picture. 

We got all the bits we wanted, the scales now work and I am pottering about at home, in the house.

Update:  Subsequent to posting this blip, Mrs GOG looked out into the garden and saw this fox, we know he often visits, but we are not usually in a position to get his picture, my camera was there, so here he is as an extra picture on today’s blip.
