Birthday Girl

My Mam is 70 today! I think she is having a rather fabulous time already, but the main event is tomorrow. She has already been taken out for afternoon tea and cocktails, and had all her girls and grandchildren around for fun and games today (except us as we were / are still travelling up!). Tomorrow we are taking her out for a family dinner before surprising her with a get together of more distant relatives. She has been blind since she was very ill 22 years ago, and she doesn't get out much! She may cry.....

We couldn't leave until I had finished work, and we had the usual Dartford crossing nightmare, but our 6 and a half hour journey was smooth other than that. We are staying at Wetherby for the night to break up the journey.

Best news of all: Noo wasn't sick this time!!!
