A Fairy's Journal

PD and I found the fairy's journal outside her house today.
She couldn't have left it there long before we arrived as it was still dry.
I hope she took it in before it got wet.

The extra shot is (nearly) PD sniffing about trying to find the fairy.

SWMBO disappeared into town today for a meal, pampering session and drinks with a friend late morning (returning about 7pm).
That left me with the monsters to deal with all on my lonesome.
Good grief!

Mid afternoon we went to the garden centre to kill a while.
It was heaving!
Maybe because today was the last day of being able to use the free drinks coupons (of which there was a large pile beside the cakes for people to use). When we eventually reached the (one working) till the girl there (a new face to me) refused to accept my coupons for the kids drinks. I pointed out that they had been accepted for the last 2 months. "Not by me" came the reply as she snatched my £10 note.
She nearly got a punch.
Just as well I had two thirsty kids mithering me.

SWMBO has just informed me that due to poor building standards (backhands????) 5 High Schools and 12 primary schools in Edinburgh are being closed with immediate effect.
17 schools !!!
That is really worrying - and what are they going to do to rehouse the pupils?
I feel that the teaching standards of this generation are going to suffer.
