Moving Along

We took the monsters to South Queensferry so that I could take a shot for the camera club's weekly challenge - Landscape - zoomed.
It was also the opportunity for The Cygnet to shoot refference shots for his school project. He did really well - especially as he was using a long, heavy lens.
Squirrel has a good eye too and really liked taking abstracts because she 'liked the shapes'.

While I was telling The Cygnet about his Great Great Grandfather being a gunner in the first world war and being based at the battery and having to walk out along the bridge (at night) and climb down to the island we heard voices from above (150' above) ........... workmen checking rivets.

The new bridge is coming along.
As is the candle which seems to mimic it in the café we went into so we could warm up a bit.
