Work is over for today

This is the crane being used in building the very large hardware and building materials store on Great North Road. The project was subject to major protests and submissions against it being put in such a setting. A friend and colleague, who resides in the near vicinity, has said that he will probably enjoy using it. I will continue to use the NZ owned business which is further away, rather than patronise an Australian owned chain which will take profits away and not pay its fair share of tax and has already been trying to have casual labour without union members on site.

The crane is not owned by Bunnings. As well as getting another crane for S (who suggested cranes for a series), I was attracted by the flying of a Saltire. Ebert appears to be a NZ construction company, so maybe the crane driver is from Scotland.
