Birthday Flowers

I got 100 free crocus bulbs when I ordered some plants last Autumn. I put them in pots and they are now in full bloom and bringing a cheerful sight as I look out into the garden. The broad beans I planted nearly three weeks ago are also just shooting - exciting.

A day of sunshine and heavy rain - mainly the latter so I didn't get out at all during the day today. Instead I popped to the garden centre to get some vegetable and flower seeds. The weather did dry up enough for a quick walk after dinner. The sky full of pink light as the sun went down. Andy went back to Scotland today.

Today would have been my Grandad's birthday and yesterday my Nan's, so I have been thinking of them. I always remember their birthdays being full of Spring flowers and the promise of warmer days to come.
