First sighting ...

... of the enemy.  A Lily Beetle, posing here on Scilla liliohyacinthus, the Pyrenean Squill.  Do not be fooled, just next to this is three-quarters of a Snakeshead Fritillary flower .... and I know what ate the rest!  

A pity that something so beautiful is such a pest :-(

Two productive hours on the allotment this morning and Cue Card won the big race at Aintree this afternoon, so a good day.
