Judging Mono-Monday "Fool/Fooled"

My Editor (aka MrsC, to whom I am eternally grateful for her help) and I have been incredibly impressed by the quality of the entries for this week’s Mono-Monday, especially as we gave you a rather tough challenge. Your inventiveness is amazing!

So we had a really tricky job choosing to whom to give Hearts and Honourable Mentions – but we had great fun in the process so thanks to everyone who contributed. Virtually everyone deserved a Heart but we only have 5 to give away. We have however strayed a little beyond the usual 5 HMs as we really couldn’t decide between them.

So here goes with the Hearts (in no particular order):

Arteegeedee for Foolish Boris (poor chap!)
Hannuli for the superb Fool on the Hill
Tiebreaker for a very foolish Lego burglar and realistic night-time lighting
Miffy for a spectacularly foolish-looking seedpod
Dollydoug for a clever composition including a Joker and a way of parting fools from their money

And the Honourable Mentions (again in no particular order):

FrankS for the Fool in Stratford (with apologies to Technophobe who also captured this chap very nicely, but after much deliberation we ended up going for Frank’s version)
Naturelover for a very clever and novel take on the challenge as well as clearly having very green fingers (of which we are rather jealous!) and for producing such a lovely photo
Ninniex for a clever idea with an amusing comment
FlyingPRGal for spotting and capturing a Joker card in a tree (and let’s face it, all we blippers are a little bonkers!)
KF for a clever composition of the angel and the tyre treads
Ubernoob for the triple whammy of foolishness, with the very sad-looking candles
Anniemay who certainly fooled us at first with her amazing “dog”
Isbi for successfully persuading her houseguest to make a complete fool of himself
DavidKeith for providing all of us old(ish) fools with a great idea for enjoying an exciting but comfortable day out...!

Apologies to everyone not on this list – we really wanted to include you all.

Now for next week – an easier challenge (I think!) – the topic will be “A New Beginning” (we were going to make it “New Life” to celebrate the Northern Hemisphere spring, but we took pity on our Southern Hemisphere friends who might have found that more difficult so we broadened it a bit!).
