Happy Flowers!

My, oh my. Feels like we are living in a totally different hemisphere.

I don't care much for summer. I don't like the heat. And I don't like mosquitoes. In thinking about it, I don't like all the bugs, either!

I do like butterflies and flowers and the bright sunlight is nice, although not so much when it gets out of hand!

My parents gave me some seeds to plant two years ago and up came a patch of Blanket Flowers. They have "fuzzy" leaves. Just maybe a couple of feet away, these flowers came up. My mother says they are Black-Eyed-Susans, but the foliage is nothing like the Black-Eyed-Susans I planted a few years ago. The leaves on the ones I planted aren't fuzzy at all.

So, whatever these flowers are, they do make me happy! They are so bright and cheerful! I surprised myself by even taking their photo today! It was so hot and muggy!
