Pale Clouded Yellow Butterfly (Colias hyale)
Well, today's choice for a Blip was the buttefly, a moth, or the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile. The butterfly won.
I only had my small Canon pocket camera on me this morning as the butterfly suddenly appeared. It flitted around like a top...me chasing behind, hoping...praying...the little bugger would eventually land! All this in weather so hot, I cannot tolerate it.
I wound up balancing on one foot, trying not to disturb my tiny subject...it had landed on some Birdfoot Trefoil on the step slope behind the house. What a challenge this was! And, the silly little bugger would flit off once more if the camera came too close.
Not a perfectly sharp photo, but you can see its little green eye probably looking at me! I just love the lemon yellow coloration of this little speciman.
The wienermobile pulled into Canandaigua at Wegman's this afternoon and feeling a bit foolish, I tried to get a good photo...hahaha....so were many, many more people!
