The workhouse at Southwell.
As Pat was staying over I took the day off work to have a trip out with her and my folks.
We went up to Newark for a look around, which is somewhere I hadn't been to for a very long time and I was impressed, it was lovely with a superb market square, see one of the extra photos.
We then went on to a newish National Trust place just on the outskirts of Southwell, which is an old workhouse, this too is worth a visit, again see some of the extra pics.
Finally, we went into Southwell for a cuppa and late lunch at the Minster Refectory, very nice carrot and lemongrass soup! Last but not least we had a wander round the Minster, that was really nice but unfortunately you had to pay £5 for a permit to take photos inside, which was a shame.
