LOL...(load of lime )

The slatted shed looking a bit empty this morning after yesterday's sale.
The first artic load of lime arrived from Durham at 8am. Plan A was to tip in a grass field next to the road, but after recent rains the driver wasn't keen to venture off the road. So onto plan B- tip in the silage pit next door. 28 tons tipped and away OK. Another 2 loads arrived later. Another 50 tons to come.
All we need is the ploughing to dry enough to get it spread and get some barley sown. The lime is to make the soil less acidic and help crops grow.
The irony is next door there used to be a lime quarry and kilns in days gone by !
